Do you speak a language other than English? Are you thinking about learning a new one? Would you like to meet others who do?
In honor of the United Nations World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, RCC invites students and staff to a Conversation Café—a casual, welcoming space to connect through language and culture.
Date: Wednesday, May 21
Time: 11:30 a.m., prior to the “Moana 2” screening at noon
Location: Riverside Campus (RVC) HEC-129
Hosted by faculty from RCC’s ESL/ELA program, the event is an opportunity to share or learn a few words and phrases with multilingual members of the RCC community. Whether you’re fluent, learning or just curious—all are welcome and fluency is not required.
Enjoy spam musubi and other delicious snacks, meet new people and celebrate cultural diversity through language. Come for the conversation—stay for the movie!
The “Moana 2” screening hosted by the Diversity Programming Board follows immediately after in HEC-129.
