2026 Chili Cook-Off Results

The Rogue Community College tradition of bold flavors, friendly rivalry and campus pride continued last month as the Military Resource Center and Student Veterans Organization (SVO) hosted their annual Chili Cook-Off events at Redwood and Table Rock campuses. With creative recipes, plenty of spice and enthusiastic tasters, this year’s competitions brought out the very best of our RCC community spirit.

Redwood Campus Results

With 83 tasters casting their votes, the Redwood event delivered a flavorful showdown. After every ballot was counted, here are the champs who rose to the top:

  • 1st Place: Veronica Lambert — 27 votes
  • 2nd Place: Michelle Welch — 17 votes
  • 3rd Place: Sarah Crown — 11 votes

Table Rock Campus Results

With 67 tasters casting their votes and more than 400 cups of chili served, this year’s competition was packed with bold flavors, serious spice and some impressive culinary talent. After counting every single vote, we are excited to announce our champions:

  • 1st Place: Heather Sandberg — 26 first-place votes
  • 2nd Place: Matt Moser — 21 first-place votes
  • 3rd Place: Jesse Everett — Two contestants tied with 10 first-place votes, but with second-place votes tabulated, Jesse is our third-place winner.
