RCC’s Faculty Senate is calling for nominations from the college community (staff, students, faculty and administrators) for the 2023/24 Faculty Senate Recognition of Excellence Award. These awards honor the contribution of faculty members (adjunct, professional faculty and full-time faculty) to students, the institution, peers and the wider community. For 2023/24, four faculty members will be selected for this honor. Nominators are not required to pick a specific category; however, focus is on the following:
- Student Engagement/Advocacy
- Innovation and Excellence in Teaching
- Community Engagement/Partnership
- Inspiration
In your submission, please share detailed examples of how your nominee raises the bar of excellence and positively impacts you and our community. Portions of your written comments may be quoted during the award presentations.
Awards will be acknowledged on May 10, 2024, at the college Inservice, with formal award presentations at the annual Faculty Senate luncheon on June 7, 2024. The awards are not monetary, but an acknowledgement of their contributions.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Nominations may be submitted online.
