Next July, our country will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the original foundational document that established the United States as a sovereign nation. As we consider the so-called “American Experiment,” it’s an opportune moment to review and reflect on all of our foundational documents, including the U.S. Constitution.
Sept. 17 is designated Constitution Day in the U.S. — the fateful date in 1787 when the Founding Fathers signed the document into law. We invite you to learn more about these documents and the founding ideals of our democratic republic at the resources below and posted on our website.
