We are changing our name from Adult Basic Skills to GED® & Pre-College Education.
Stop for a second and think about the term basic. Would you like to be associated with that word and all its baggage? Words matter. Our new department name clearly aligns our day-to-day efforts to the broader mission of the college and honors the commitment, sacrifice and effort that our students demonstrate as they engage with our programmatic arms: earning a GED®; improving English language abilities; brushing up skills in reading, writing and math; and transitioning on to certificate and postsecondary degree programs.
