Discover short-term trainings to jump-start your health care career

Rogue Community College health care programs are hosting “Fast Track to Health Care Careers,” a virtual event from 5:30-7 p.m. March 18, 2021, where students and members of the public can learn from local employers about job opportunities in the health care field and training programs at RCC.

Local employers need well-trained employees and community colleges play a large role in responding to industry demand, especially in times of economic, environmental and public health challenges. Rogue Community College has training opportunities that are designed to help our community thrive, and with health care as a large sector, it is important to meet the growing needs of our region.

This event will begin with an employer panel including representatives from local employers Providence and La Clinica. Industry representatives will cover career opportunities and attributes of successful employees, as well as overviews of company culture and the current economic climate.

The event will include breakout room discussions with RCC health care instructors and former students who have completed training and obtained employment. Programs to be highlighted include nursing, emergency medical services, dental assisting, medical assisting, medical administrative assisting, phlebotomy, pharmacy technician, nursing assistant and community health worker.
