CCRC Seeks Faculty to Participate in Study

The Community College Research Center (CCRC) is looking for faculty who are interested in participating in a research study. Participants will learn effective ways to teach with technology and earn up to $550 in incentives.

From CCRC:

Would you like to learn how to use technology to create more active and engaging learning for your students? Instructors at Rogue Community College have an exciting opportunity to participate in a professional learning course about using technology to support student learning. Later this spring, faculty will receive an email invitation from the Community College Research Center (CCRC) to participate in the course and an associated research study.

In the professional learning course, instructors will learn new practical ways to use technology to improve communication, collaboration, sense of belonging and student learning. The course consists of 16 hours of professional learning:

  • Four (4), two-hour virtual synchronous sessions held on Tuesday, July 16 and 30, and Aug. 6 and 20 from 1-3 p.m.
  • Eight (8) hours of asynchronous activities

The course will be facilitated by Rogue Community College faculty members Rusty Riis and Gary Heigel.

Instructors who are eligible and participate in the course and all associated research activities will receive $550 in incentives.
