JACKSON COUNTY, Oregon [Oct. 3, 2025] – Rogue Community College’s Counseling Department is partnering with Max’s Mission to offer free community workshops on naloxone, a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
The workshops will teach participants what naloxone is, how it works, how to use it and where to find it locally. Each attendee will receive an information packet and a naloxone kit to take home. These events are free and open to the public. To ensure enough supplies are available, please register in advance.
Workshop Details:
- Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. RCC/SOU Higher Education Center (HEC), Room 132 Riverside Campus, 101 S. Bartlett St., Medford
- Monday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. Table Rock Campus, A Building, Room 184 7800 Pacific Ave., White City
Naloxone, also known by the brand name Narcan, is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. It is safe, easy to use and available without a prescription in many areas.
