Inclusive Hiring is back! Join us for an updated workshop at Table Rock Campus on Wednesday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Health Professions Center. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Register for the workshop here. Once registered, you’ll receive a calendar invite and, closer to the event, a confirmation email with full details. Supervisors and Department Chairs should plan to attend. If you are a supervisor, you may have already received a calendar invite for May 13. If so, you are already registered and do not need to sign up at the link above. All employees are encouraged to participate with supervisor approval.
This workshop offers an opportunity to explore ways to create a more equitable workplace, starting with the recruiting and hiring process. Topics include:
- Historical context on how societal factors and civil rights laws shape our workforce.
- The evolving legal landscape in recruiting and hiring.
- Inclusive hiring practices as part of the search committee process.
Can’t attend this time? The workshop is offered once each term — fall, winter and spring — during the academic year. Look for future announcements in the Rogue Report.
