This year’s tracks include:

Innovative Teaching & Learning

Description: This track delves into the latest educational tools and practices, with a focus on effectively utilizing Blackboard ULTRA. It aims to provide educators with essential knowledge and skills to adeptly navigate and employ innovative teaching strategies.

Example Breakouts:

Navigating ULTRA Blackboard: An in-depth exploration of the ULTRA update to Blackboard, highlighting new features, user interface enhancements and ways to integrate these updates into your teaching to boost student engagement and learning outcomes.

Universal Design Principles: Guidance on implementing universal design principles in course design to foster accessible and inclusive learning environments for all students.

Course Assessments: Streamlining the assessment process with effective tools and strategies to evaluate student learning. Leave the session with a completed course assessment.

Empowering Adjuncts: A session aimed at providing adjunct faculty with essential resources, professional development pathways and a supportive community to enhance their teaching impact and foster student success.

Description: This track equips employees with strategies and insights to connect students with critical campus resources, fostering engagement and success to improve student retention.

Enhancing Engagement – Clubs and Athletics: This session focuses on the pivotal role of extracurricular activities in promoting student engagement. We’ll explore strategies for encouraging participation in student clubs and athletics, emphasizing their impact on fostering a sense of community, belonging and overall student retention.

Strengthening Learning – Library & Tutoring Resources: This session delves into the academic support of the institution, specifically highlighting the power of the library and tutoring services. SOS – A Student’s Journey: This immersive session offers a unique perspective on the Save Our Students (SOS) initiative by walking participants through the experience from a student’s viewpoint. ARC Essentials: Explore the core functions of the Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC), focusing on how it supports student success and well-being through accessible services and advocacy.
