Join us in recognizing July’s recipients!
Name: Raelyn Horton
Core Values: Collaboration
Reason: Raelyn has been working with Medford School District to support their summer program. She has gone the extra mile to meet with students to make sure that they were able to get through the enrollment process and register. This developed very quickly, and Raelyn stepped in and was flexible, collaborative in supporting students to register for RCC non-credit and credit courses over the summer.
Name: Jacqueline Jones
Core Values: Integrity; Collaboration; Courage
Reason: Jaci did a great job at the Riverside Campus Week of Welcome event on 7/8/25. Despite challenging conditions (extreme heat temperatures), she was able to pull together a wonderful event. There was so much attention to detail that she put into planning and preparing for this event, it was really impressive. I have experience planning and executing events and I know firsthand how much work goes into the coordination and set up. She did a great job manning the grill while making sure staff took their breaks and students felt welcomed. I appreciate Jaci’s attention to detail and heart that she put into the planning. Great job!

We appreciate you! Thank you so much!!
Name: Andrew Huston
Core Values: Integrity
Reason: We were having problems with Pearson Vue testing at the Table Rock Testing Center. Andrew immediately provided IT support, working with our Testing Department and the vendor. The solution to the problem was time consuming and Andrew never gave up and kept trouble-shooting until it was resolved.
Name: Steven Vandever, Fiona Nevin and Kail Rosborg
Core Values: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
I had the pleasure of speaking with a student who had been experiencing some challenges in the spring term. The student was able to find resolution to the challenges and able to move on from them. When I ran into the student today, I was informed that their ability to persist and to stay motivated came directly from three individuals: Steven, Fiona and Kail. The student stated that Fiona took them from a point of feeling like they had to go to college to a point where they wanted to go to college. A motivation for education was realized based on the interactions and support provided by Fiona. As you might guess, the student is a recipient of Veterans Affairs benefits and had some struggles understanding, navigating and applying VA benefits. The student stated that the assistance of Steven mitigated all of those challenges and allowed their focus to stay on their studies. The student went on to express their gratitude for Kail and his approach to the student experience for inclusion in all aspects of programming. The student stated that they entered the diesel program feeling like they would not be accepted but that they now feel like a part of the program and feel ownership and responsibility to the program and their fellow students. In speaking with the student today, it was clear that despite challenges that they faced, they also faced a caring Osprey community that is not only able to assist, but willing to assist and make them feel seen. The student obviously feels a connection to RCC, a connection largely fostered by the motivation provided by Fiona, the support provided by Steven and the inclusion demonstrated by Kail. Thank you all for representing RCC in this way!

Name: Cailin Mondo
Core Values: Collaboration and Courage
Reason: I appreciate Cailin for being willing to learn new things and help out when coverage is needed. Specifically, thanks for learning “batch processes” so things can run smoothly while some on our team are out of the office. You have a great, team-oriented attitude and you ROCK!
Name: Michelle Rhodes
Core Values: Integrity; Sustainability; Courage
Reason: Michelle took the initiative to create the incredibly detailed and accessible “How to Get Things Done at RCC” guide, a resource I personally use time and time again. Her effort to gather accurate policies, procedures and tools from across the college and combine them into one seamless document reflects true integrity and a commitment to sustainability, saving countless hours for staff like myself who would otherwise be left tracking down information piece by piece amid many institutional changes. What really stands out is her courage in going above and beyond the status quo, not because she was asked to, but because she cares deeply about supporting others. Michelle consistently looks out for her colleagues. She is a beacon of support, never dismissive, always approachable and genuinely kind. She has become the go-to person for questions, big or small, and always responds in a way that feels welcoming and encouraging. We are incredibly lucky to have someone like Michelle on our team.
