Let’s welcome Norma Pantoja, our new Admissions & Recruitment member who is also our Latino Outreach & Recruitment representative!
Norma was born in California but moved to Mexico at the age of six due to her father’s illness. When she returned to California in 2001, she discovered that a language barrier and a lack of skills with electronics were major challenges for her. Years later, her husband enrolled her in ESL classes at RCC, and she eventually began taking basic computer classes. In 2020, she completed her associate degree in Early Childhood Education, and in 2021, she obtained a certificate in Family Support. Currently, she is working towards her Bachelor of Arts degree.
Norma feels incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to work for RCC since it was where she obtained the tools that have helped her grow personally and professionally. She believes that working at RCC is a way to give back a little bit of what she has received. She will be working mainly at the Table Rock Campus, but will be traveling a lot too. We are excited to have her on the team. Welcome, Norma!
