A Warm Welcome to Mindy Prieur

Please join us in warmly welcoming Mindy Prieur as the new Administrative Assistant for IT and the Business Office!

Mindyh

Mindy grew up in sunny San Jose, California, and brings a wonderfully diverse background to our team. She has worked in medical billing and as a class aide supporting special needs students. While spending several years in New Hampshire, she attended Great Bay Community College and went on to earn her degree in Wildlife Conservation and Biology from the University of New Hampshire.

Mindy’s academic journey was filled with adventure. She completed summer internships collecting phytoplankton, romping through the woods of New Hampshire, bird banding on a coastal island and surveying endangered burying beetles on the plains of Oklahoma. She also studied abroad in New Zealand through a traveling ecology program, where she collected and observed an undocumented species of flightless wasp living in the leaf litter — an unforgettable experience!

A few years ago, Mindy and her wife moved to Grants Pass with their two cats to be closer to family. Most recently, she served for two years as a Support Services Specialist with the Wild Rivers Ranger District of the Rogue River–Siskiyou National Forest. In that role, she developed a strong passion for public service, administrative excellence and collaborating with like-minded colleagues.

Education and lifelong learning run deep in Mindy’s family. She grew up hearing the story of her great-grandparents immigrating from Italy so their children could pursue an education. Her grandparents both became educators, instilling a love of learning that continues with her today.

Mindy loves nature and travel, and her hobbies include reading, hiking, camping and playing board games with friends. In her free time, she enjoys reading aloud to her wife, welcoming weekend visits from family, and exploring the beautiful local trails. We’re excited to have Mindy on board — please be sure to say hello and welcome her to the team!
