I am pleased to introduce Michelle Jones, who has joined the college as our new Risk Management Administrative, Safety and Compliance Coordinator in the People, Culture and Safety division. Michelle is moving into her new role after working in Campus Security for the last 17 months.
Michelle will support a wide range of collegewide safety, risk management and compliance efforts. Her work will include helping coordinate emergency management and continuity of operations planning, supporting occupational safety and environmental health compliance, assisting with insurance and asset management, and helping ensure the college meets important state and federal reporting requirements. She will also support student travel risk management and liability waiver processes and coordinate the ordering and distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) for departments across the college.
As part of this role, Risk Management workflows and processes will be evolving. Michelle will work directly with departments to implement these updates and ensure everyone understands any new forms, procedures and requirements related to safety, compliance and risk management.
Over the coming weeks, she may reach out to departments to provide guidance, answer questions and support a smooth transition to these updated processes. Please join me in welcoming Michelle to the team. We’re excited to have her on board and appreciate your support as we continue strengthening our risk management and safety programs across the college.
