Please welcome Angela Harelson in a New Role at RCC

Let’s welcome Angela Harelson in their new role as the Access & Disability Resources Specialist in the Access & Disability Resources office.

Angela is an import from Samoa and was unboxed in Southern Oregon a few decades ago. With a love of learning and curiosity that can’t be contained, Angela roamed the Redwood Campus, exploring diverse career paths until graduating in 2004. From advertising to crisis work, Angela’s journey is as eclectic as a playlist on shuffle.

Returning to RCC in 2009, Angela assumed the role of administrative assistant in Access & Disability Resources. Now, in their new role as an Access Specialist, they’re excited to help students achieve their academic goals.

“I am eager to contribute to this role, extending the care and kindness I received from the RCC community,” said Angela.

Outside the office, Angela is a DIY enthusiast, logophile (a lover of words) and book/music aficionado who eagerly welcomes recommendations. Angela is also a gamer/geek extraordinaire, a devoted parent of one, and holds the esteemed title of being owned by a clowder of cats. Yes, a clowder—because one can never have too many feline overlords.

In their downtime, Angela can be found cuddling animals, plotting world domination with their cat council and enjoying life with friends and family. Angela is steadfast in their commitment to contributing to the betterment of the world, fostering positive change one student, one shared laugh and one cat cuddle at a time.
