RCC Accepting Applications for Dental Assistant Program in Grants Pass, White City

Jackson and Josephine counties (June 2, 2026) – Rogue Community College has extended the application deadline to Aug. 20 for its fall 2026 Dental Assistant cohort, giving prospective students additional time to prepare for careers in one of healthcare’s in-demand support professions.

Dental assisting is a three-term special admissions program that begins fall term and culminates with a practicum in a dental office. Several prerequisite courses are required before starting the program.

Attending an information session is mandatory before applying to the program. An information session will be held June 5 at 2:30 p.m. via Zoom. The Zoom link is available at roguecc.edu/dental or by emailing dentalinfo@roguecc.edu.

Dental assistants perform a variety of clinical and administrative tasks including preparing patients for procedures and surgeries, charting, taking radiographs, making dental impressions, registering patients, scheduling appointments and assisting with insurance and billing.

Dental assisting classes are offered at the RCC Redwood Campus in Grants Pass and Table Rock Campus in White City. RCC also offers a two-year associate degree program in Dental Hygiene at Table Rock Campus.
