The RCC Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC) has partnered with the local Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) Eligibility team to provide on-campus support for students seeking financial assistance.
Beginning in May, an ODHS representative will be available for two hours per week in the Redwood Campus Wiseman Center Room 12 to assist students with determining eligibility and enrolling in SNAP benefits.
This partnership is designed to improve access to essential resources for RCC students and is expected to increase student enrollment and participation in STEP at RCC, which is directly tied to SNAP benefits.
RCC plans to expand service hours and locations to include Jackson County campuses as student needs are assessed.
