Here are some upcoming professional development opportunities hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources:
- Register for a Virtual OER Review Workshop taking place on one of three dates: Nov. 17 – 12-1 p.m.; Nov. 18 – 10-11 a.m.; or Nov. 19 – 5-6 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a $200-$300 stipend for writing a review of an open educational resource.
- Equity and Open Education Faculty Cohort Registration for Winter 2026. Join a statewide two-part Equity and Open Education Faculty Cohort. Participants will earn a $200 stipend upon completion of “Part 1 – Explore” and will have the option to earn an additional $300 stipend in “Part 2 – Implement.” Register by Jan. 16, 2026.
- Modifying and Creating OER Workshop. Are you an instructor who wants nuts-and-bolts help creating or adapting open educational resources (OER)? Register for a workshop taking place Jan. 26, 2026, from 12-1 p.m. Pacific to get started. After the workshop, you’ll receive a stipend if you practice modifying or creating OER and send us a link to your work.

- Librarians as OER & Textbook Affordability Leaders, hosted by the Library Juice Academy Certificate in Open Education for Librarians. The asynchronous course takes place in November.
- Tea Time! Case study on second-edition OERs, hosted by the Open Education Network. Nov. 3, 11 a.m. Pacific.
- The Open Education Conference Board of Directors seeks input on the 2026 conference format. Fill out the feedback form by Nov. 7.
- Navigating the 2026 Accessibility Requirements: Higher Ed Strategies and Approaches, hosted by Pressbooks. Nov. 12, 9 a.m. Pacific.
- Open Exchange, hosted by CCCOER. Nov. 19, 12 p.m. Pacific.
