Volunteers Needed for 2026 RCC Foundation Scholarship Review Committee

Every year, the Rogue Community College Foundation invites students to apply for more than 100 scholarships through a single general application. After the application closes on June 1, 2026, we rely on the help of reviewers to read and score applications.

It is a small time commitment but an impactful and inspiring volunteer opportunity. Reviews are completed online at your convenience during a two‑week window in early June, and RCC Foundation staff will provide training and support.

Reviewers consistently describe the experience as meaningful and rewarding:

“It has been an honor to serve with the scholarship committee. As a scholarship reviewer, I have found it rewarding and exciting to be one of the judges who make a difference in a student’s education. Learning about each student’s journey, achievements and aspirations is inspiring.”

“I have been reviewing RCC Foundation scholarships for the last 10 years. Every year, I’m very proud to play a small part for so many applicants in the Rogue Valley who have often overcome insurmountable obstacles and are on their way to pursuing their dreams. I’m amazed at the diversity of RCC applicants that I see every year… Being an RCC Foundation scholarship reviewer has been one of my most rewarding and positive experiences since moving to the Rogue Valley and I highly recommend that you join us.”

We rely on our amazing volunteers to make this work possible. Last year we received over 450 applications, each reviewed by three volunteers, totaling more than 1,350 reviews altogether! With enough volunteers, the total time commitment could be as little as a few hours.

Thank you for supporting RCC students and the Foundation. Please reach out to Faina Hopkins with questions or to join this year’s reviewer team.
