College to host Campus Open Houses August 17, 23 and 30 

Wildlife Images and Free Ice Cream entice visitors 

Each of the three Rogue Community College (RCC) campuses, Grants Pass, White City and Medford, will be hosting an August Open House for interested students and families to learn more about college programs and financial aid.  RCC invites all community members to visit campus and say hello. 

Tours and activities are available at each site and visitors may enjoy free ice cream and chances for prizes. Get up close and personal with wildlife and participate in an engaging activity at the Wildlife Images station on all campuses, enjoy puppy petting at the Dogs for Better Lives station at Grants Pass and White City open houses.

Dates and times for each campus’ Open House are as follows: August 17, 10 a.m.-2p.m. at the Riverside Campus-Higher Education Center in Medford; August 23, 10 a.m.-2p.m. at the Table Rock Campus in White City; and August 30, 10 a.m.-2p.m. at the Redwood Campus in Grants Pass.  

Visitors of all ages are welcome and will have opportunities for hands-on experiences, talk with a college advisor, and help in finding out how to apply to programs and get financial aid. Guests can stroll through the beautiful campuses, meet friendly staff, and see the high-tech equipment available to students. 

With staff assistance, potential students and families may learn about RCC certificates and degrees as well as how one can earn a career wage; get information about specific trade programs; and learn about affordable pathways to four-year institutions. 

The Redwood Campus in Grants Pass will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours for the newly completed Science Center, a project funded by a recent Josephine County bond measure. There will be cars on display and a lab activity in the Automotive center. Table Rock visitors will have a chance to explore the recently completed Health Professions Center and learn about the cutting-edge equipment including CNC machines, 3D printers and welding stations in the Hight Tech Center. At Riverside Campus in Medford, after live science demonstrations, participants can relax in massage chairs, and try the ukulele, guitar or electronic keyboard.

The Riverside Campus-Higher Education Center is located at the corner of 8th and Riverside in Medford. Table Rock Campus is located at 7800 Pacific Avenue – look for building A and the Welcome Center. Redwood Campus is located at 3345 Redwood Highway, Grants Pass – and visitors should proceed to the Welcome Center building as well.
