Meet RCC’s Counselors

As an RCC student, you have access to personal and career counseling. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or want someone to talk to for just about any reason, RCC Counseling is a great resource. Our professional counselors are knowledgeable about community resources as well as techniques for managing time and stress. It’s free and confidential.

Stop by and say “hi” to our counseling staff later this week as they host special events for Alcohol, Drug & Recovery Awareness Week:

  • Riverside Campus — Wednesday, Sept. 27 — HEC Lobby
    • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet RCC counselors and learn about recovery support.
    • 2:30-4 p.m. In HEC 132, join us for a presentation on one family’s experience with fentanyl overdose.
  • Table Rock Campus — Thursday, Sept. 28 — A Building atrium
    • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet RCC counselors and learn about recovery support.
    • 11 a.m. to noon: Hear a story of hope from Eric Ziegler
  • Redwood Campus — Thursday, Sept. 28 — Student Center
    • 12:30-3:30 p.m. Meet RCC counselors and learn about recovery support.
    • 2-3 p.m. Join us for a presentation on one family’s experience with fentanyl overdose.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage

We have two special events planned to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15):

  • “The Creation of Hispanics,” Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 12-1 p.m. Join the Diversity Programming Board for an educational, comedic performance that explores the beauty, complexity, similarities and, most importantly, the differences that are too often homogenized into the terms “Latino/a,” “Latinx” and “Hispanic.” Join via Zoom; meeting ID 982 5103 8409.
  • Fiesta Latina & Club Days is an opportunity to celebrate Latinx cultures and learn more about student clubs at RCC. Stop by for music, crafts, club info and FREE LUNCH. All are welcome!
    • Redwood Campus Student Center â€” Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 12-2 p.m.
    • Riverside Campus HEC Room 127 — Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 12-2 p.m.

Have a great week!
