Help Needed for Summer Week of Welcome

Time is moving quickly, and we are gearing up for the summer term Week of Welcome! I am excited to report that our spring term efforts saw a decrease in the number of students dropping credit courses during week one. We had a 1.4% decrease from spring of 2022 in the number of credit students who dropped all classes during week one. This equates to 49 students and is the lowest percentage of students fully dropping all courses in the last five spring terms. This is a number to celebrate!

Now is your chance to join the Student Engagement Team, ASG, Student Life and the Student Success Task Force to make a difference in the success of students!

  • Each campus will have employees staffed at key locations, distributing folders with campus maps and other important content to ensure a strong start to summer term. Please note, some stations are outdoors; please dress appropriately for the weather.
  • We’ve moved to three days for summer term. Data shows that attendance is higher Tuesday and Wednesday and we know it is important to be present on Day 1, Monday. Please give of your time and sign up for additional slots if you are able. Front-facing staff should be serving students in their offices.
  • ASG will continue its strong presence on each campus with morning coffee, snacks and all things ASG, Clubs and Organizations and other resource materials.
  • Summertime brings chalk art, yard games and frozen treats for the engagement activity.
  • Please print flyers and 4-ups for marketing this event. Please share with your students.
