Honoring 50 Years of Teaching and Sending Our Best to a Beloved Colleague

Rogue Community College has been home to many dedicated educators — and few have made an impact like longtime humanities instructor Lutz Kramer. For over 50 years, Lutz has inspired RCC students and colleagues alike with his curiosity, humor and passion for learning.

Now, as Lutz faces some serious health challenges, friends and colleagues in the Rogue Gateway Rotary Club wanted to do something special to show how much he means to all of us. They’ve launched the Lutz Kramer Endowed Scholarship through the RCC Foundation. The goal is to honor Lutz’s half-century of teaching and send a message of encouragement and care during his recovery.

When his wife, Lisa, told him about the scholarship, Lutz teared up — a moment that reminded us all how deeply this community cares for one another.

We’re already well on our way toward the $10,000 goal to endow the scholarship, and we invite everyone in the RCC community to be part of it. Your gift will not only support students for years to come but will also lift the spirits of someone who’s been part of our RCC community since 1974.
