RCC employees are invited to participate in a one-day training with RCC Counselor Michelle Gray where you will learn how to support those around you by getting certified in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).
Mental Health First Aid is an early-intervention public education program that teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge, how to listen nonjudgmentally and give reassurance to a person who may be experiencing a mental health challenge, and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and services.
This one-day training will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Redwood Campus. The cost ($35) covers the participant’s materials; you can submit for professional growth funds to cover these costs.
For more information, contact Michelle Gray on Teams or call 541-956-7084.
