RWC July Blood Drive Results

Hey RCC, I just wanted to take a moment to say a sincere “thank you” to the 24 people who rolled up their sleeves and participated in the recent blood drive at the Redwood Campus. What you did matters—not just to me or the American Red Cross, but to every person whose life may be saved because of the donations collected that day. Your donation means families could have more time with their loved ones. It’s hard to put into words how much that means. We’re truly grateful to have you as part of this life-saving mission. I hope you feel proud—you should.

Here are RWC’s July 23 blood drive results:

  • Collection goal: 17 units
  • Actual units collected: 16 units—WOOT!
  • First-time donors: 2
  • Power Red donors: 8—AMAZING!
  • Potential number of lives saved: 48

Looking forward to the next drive! Here are the details and you can sign up today:

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

We need Blood Donor Ambassadors to volunteer on the day of the drive. These helpers engage with donors by greeting, registering, answering questions, providing information and supporting them through the recovery process at the refreshments table. The special attention volunteers give helps create a favorable impression that encourages ongoing donor support.

To sign up to volunteer, fill out this form. Thanks for your support!
