What does it mean to be American? Who is worthy of pursuing the “American dream?” How do we measure someone’s contribution to society? These are some of the themes explored in “The Undocumented Americans,” by Karla Cornejo Villavicencio, where the author provides a unique and deeply personal perspective on the immigrant experience and the hidden lives of her fellow “undocumented Americans.”

RCC’s Diversity Programming Board is sponsoring a common read of the book for the 2025-26 academic year. Sign up here to request your free copy and to be added to the mailing list for related DPB events starting fall term.
