New Staff in High School Partnerships: Shelby and Casey

High School Partnerships is pleased to announce the addition of Shelby Freestone and Casey Egger as transition specialists. Both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be instrumental in advancing the growth of our program. Their experience and outside perspective will help us strengthen our case-management model of support, ensuring students receive the guidance and resources they need to achieve success.

Casey and Shelby will be located at Redwood Campus in the Wiseman Center. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and say “hi.” We are thrilled to welcome Casey and Shelby to our team and look forward to the positive impact they will make for our students and community.

Shelby Freestone

Shelby Freestone is a recent Oregon transplant originally from Iowa. As a proud first-generation college student, she began her academic journey at Southwestern Community College, earning an Associate of Arts degree while serving as a student ambassador and active member of TRiO. Shelby later transferred to the University of Northern Iowa, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Leisure, Youth and Human Services with an emphasis in therapeutic recreation.

With a background in specialized caregiving and student services, Shelby is passionate about helping individuals recognize their potential and achieve their goals. She is committed to providing holistic, personalized support that empowers students to make informed decisions and pursue their passions with confidence. Her mission is to guide students not only toward academic and career success, but also to enable them to build the resilience and life skills needed for long-term fulfillment.

Outside of work, Shelby enjoys spending time outdoors with her two dogs and family, exploring Oregon’s scenic trails. Hershey (Rottweiler) and Ivy (mini-Aussie) love to adventure! She’s also a fan of strolling through local farmers’ markets—especially when she has a “fancy coffee” in hand!
