Beginning Aug. 24, 2026, Rogue Community College Campus Security will move to a centralized dispatch process. This is an important change to how students, employees and visitors contact Campus Security, and we want everyone to know what is changing, why we are making the change and what to expect.
The Most Important Change
Beginning Aug. 24, no matter which RCC campus you are at, call 541-218-2930 when you need Campus Security assistance.
The Redwood Campus Security number, 541-218-2930, will become the single point of contact for Campus Security across RCC. You will no longer need to determine which Campus Security number to call based on your location.
For emergencies requiring immediate police, fire or medical response, always call 911.
What Does Centralized Dispatch Mean?
Centralized dispatch means that Campus Security calls from across RCC will come through one central point of contact. From there, the dispatcher will coordinate the appropriate Campus Security response based on the caller’s location and needs.
When you call 541-218-2930, be prepared to tell the dispatcher:
- Your name, if appropriate;
- Which RCC campus, building or facility you are at;
- Your specific location within the building or campus, if known; and
- What is happening and what type of assistance you need.
The dispatcher will use that information to coordinate the appropriate response.
The process is the same regardless of where you are. Whether you are at Redwood Campus, Riverside Campus or the Table Rock Campus, call 541-218-2930 for Campus Security.
You do not need to determine which Campus Security officer or location to contact. Make one call, tell us where you are and what you need, and the dispatcher will take it from there.
Why Are We Making This Change?
With multiple RCC locations, having different Campus Security contact numbers can make it difficult to know which number to call — particularly during a stressful or time-sensitive situation.
Moving to centralized dispatch gives our college community one number to remember and one consistent process for requesting Campus Security assistance.
The centralized process will also help Campus Security coordinate calls and available personnel across RCC locations, improve communication, and provide a clearer picture of security needs occurring across the college.
Most importantly, we want contacting Campus Security to be straightforward. Students, employees and visitors shouldn’t have to figure out which number to call before asking for help.
