Rogue Community College faculty and staff joined together at their annual college inservice gathering to honor five regional health care organizations. The employees of AllCare Health, Asante, La Clinica, Providence and Siskiyou Health Center were recognized as RCC’s Outstanding Citizen 2022 awardees.
“Exceptional times call for exceptional responses,” said RCC President Dr. Cathy Kemper-Pelle. “As a symbol of tremendous respect for those working on the front lines during this time of pandemic challenges, we chose to bestow this award upon these five exemplary organizations.”
“Like our entire region and country, each member of the RCC community has felt the impact of the pandemic. It feels very appropriate to recognize and honor those whom we have all relied on,” continued Kemper-Pelle. “These organizations and every member of their staff – from the front office receptionist to the CNA, to the housekeeping staff, to the ICU physician – have created an amazing safety net of health care that has served, and continues to serve, our students, staff members, friends, family and community.”
Receiving a standing ovation from the 222 assembled RCC staff members, representatives from each organization included Dr. Kelley Burnett, Chief Medical Officer for AllCare Health; Dr. Alex Bonato, Hospitalist of Asante Three Rivers Medical Center; Lily Schoen, Med/Surg Charge Nurse of Asante Three Rivers Medical Center; Jillian Robinette, La Clinica Practice Manager; Ryan Hutchinson, Director of Diagnostic Imaging, Providence Medford Medical Center; Amy Bronson, Director of Clinic Operations, Providence Medical Group; Leslie Rogers, ICU and Respiratory Nurse Manager, Providence Medford Medical Center, and Dr. Kristin Miller, Chief Medical Officer, Siskiyou Health Center.
Each organization received a crystal trophy that reads: Rogue Community College Outstanding Citizen 2022 – Healthcare Heroes – for distinguished healthcare services to our community in exceptional times.
