Rogue Community College Counseling Department Educates Community About Mental Health & Suicide Prevention

Jackson and Josephine counties (Oct. 4, 2023) – On Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023—World Mental Health Day—Rogue Community College Counselor Michelle Gray will give a presentation about suicide prevention awareness and share resources for suicide prevention. Her presentation will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. at HEC-132 on the Riverside Campus and on Zoom.

World Mental Health Day is dedicated to global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. It was first celebrated in 1992, with the goal of driving positive change for mental health.

The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is “mental health is a universal human right.”

The presentation will be held in the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center, room 132, at the RCC Riverside Campus, 101 S. Bartlett St., Medford.
