JACKSON COUNTY (Dec. 19, 2025) — Rogue Community College invites community members to receive free dental hygiene screenings Jan. 5-9, 2026, at the RCC Dental Hygiene Clinic on the Table Rock Campus in White City. During this first week of RCC’s winter term, the clinic will exclusively offer no-cost screenings, providing an important community service while supporting student learning.
The screenings are performed by students in the RCC Dental Hygiene Program under the supervision of licensed dental professionals, ensuring a safe and educational experience for everyone involved. These screenings are a key part of students’ clinical training, helping prepare them for successful careers in dental hygiene.
“These screenings provide a dual benefit,” said Carmen Mons, director of RCC Dental Programs. “Our students gain valuable real-world clinical experience, and community members receive a no-cost service that can support their oral health. We’re proud to offer this resource to Southern Oregon.”
Screenings may include an evaluation of oral health, preventive care recommendations and education on maintaining good oral hygiene practices. Patients who participate may also be eligible for additional low-cost services offered later in the term.
Throughout the school year, the RCC Dental Hygiene Clinic provides affordable preventive dental services, including sealants, fluoride treatments, debridement and laser therapy. In addition, RCC dental assistant and dental hygiene students are offering free full-mouth X-rays for qualifying patients during winter term as part of their radiology training.
Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling the RCC Dental Hygiene Clinic at 541-955-7577 or by emailing dentalinfo@roguecc.edu. Appointments are limited, and early scheduling is encouraged.
