Please welcome Kelsi Guerrero to her role as a full-time faculty member in the Social Science/Human Services department. Kelsi recently relocated to the Rogue Valley after spending 16 years in Humboldt County, California, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from Humboldt State University.
Kelsi is trained as a marriage and family therapist. Her love for higher education led her to begin lecturing at Humboldt State University in 2016 in addition to working in the community. Kelsi found a passion for bringing her professional experiences to the classroom and supporting students in their academic endeavors.
Throughout her time in Humboldt County, she held a variety of clinical roles, including serving as a children’s and family therapist with County Mental Health, providing clinical case management at the university’s student health center, and directing a program that supported individuals in crisis with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities.
Outside of work, Kelsi enjoys spending time with friends and family, catching live performances around town and exploring the natural beauty of Southern Oregon. While she misses the redwoods and the California coast, she is eager to discover all that the Rogue Valley has to offer. According to Kelsi, “I am excited to dedicate my time to the students of Rogue Community College and do my best to provide a classroom environment that is dynamic and engaging.”
