We’re kicking off a quick, good-humored November Food Drive to stock student shelves before the holiday break. This is a campus-vs-campus friendly competition (RWC, TRC, RVC) with one purpose: Support our students and colleagues who could use a little extra this month.
Dates
- Start: Monday, Nov. 3, 2025
- Finish / Count Day: Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025
How to give (two easy options)
- Amazon (fastest): Use our RCC Food Drive list and ship to Redwood Campus (RWC) for centralized holding until Count Day.
Click to see the Amazon list:- In the gift note, please include: “Credit: [RWC/TRC/RVC]” so we count it for the right campus.
- Then email Susan Bame that you’ve purchased, and which campus you want credited.
- If Amazon doesn’t show the RWC address for you, feel free to ship to yourself and drop items in the collection bins, located at Rogue Central and the library on each campus.
- Shop locally (your choice of store): Use the Amazon list as your shopping list so we receive the exact items we need. Drop new, in-date items in the collection bins, located at Rogue Central and the library on each campus.
Important quality note
- New purchases only for this drive (we’re not clearing home pantries).
- Factory-sealed, in-date items. Prefer pull-tops. Please avoid glass.
Where the items go
- We’ll hold all shipments/deliveries at RWC until Count Day, then credit items to the campus you specified.
- Items credited to Table Rock stay at TRC; items credited to Redwood stay at RWC; items credited to Riverside stay at RVC.
Team Captains — we need you!
We’re recruiting Team Captains on each campus to help count items and report weekly totals to Susan.
- If you’re willing, please email arc@roguecc.edu with the subject: “Food Drive Team Captain – [Campus].”
- Captains will tally their campus/area bins and send counts each Friday by 3 p.m.
- We’ll publish a campuswide leaderboard update every Monday so we can cheer each other on.
Where we are
This is a rapid, do-our-best effort. We’re learning as we go, and we’ll share more details as they firm up. Thank you for your patience — and your generosity. If you have questions or want to help with sorting on Count Day, please reach out.
P.S. A little friendly competition is good for the cupboards… and great for our students. Thanks for playing!
