The Power of Giving: Meet RCC’s Rogue Heroes
At Rogue Community College, we believe in the power of education and support our students in ways both big and small. RCC has a long history of faculty and staff who not only dedicate themselves to student success but choose to strengthen that impact through charitable giving. These employees are known as Rogue Heroes.
The “Rogue Hero Campaign” started in 2011 and has continued to grow throughout the years. In just the past five years, staff members have contributed over $135,000 to:
- Fund scholarships
- Support special projects
- Empower student clubs
- Provide emergency assistance for food, housing and other needs
Every dollar donated, whether it’s a one-time gift or a monthly donation through payroll deduction, goes directly towards helping students succeed!
The RCC Foundation is so grateful for all our Rogue Heroes who make such a big difference, and we’re excited to recognize them. That’s why we launched our Rogue Hero Spotlight in January 2026.
This month, we are highlighting Rogue Hero Hollie Adair.

Department and Title: Director of TRiO EOC & ETS
What made you decide to participate for the first time?
I started donating because I saw firsthand how even a small scholarship could make a meaningful difference for the low-income, first-generation students that I worked with directly in the TRiO EOC department. I worked with students one-on-one and learned their hopes and dreams and conversely their struggles and barriers, which oftentimes came down to funding. The process to donate was simple and it felt worthwhile knowing that our collective donations as a college could help change the trajectory for a student pursuing a new future. It’s a powerful ripple effect and incredibly gratifying to know I played a very small part. Our students are so incredible!
What makes you proud to be an employee donor?
I don’t know that I’d use the word proud, but it does make me feel connected to the vision and mission of RCC to be a college that “inspires, strengthens and transforms.” Supporting resources like scholarships helps students access opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach.

What would you say to a colleague who’s considering donating?
Do it! Even $10 a month adds up and makes a difference for a student and you’ll never miss the one or two coffees a month. I promise.
